With a superlative voice and a driving guitar style, Mark James Fortin represents the cream of Canadian songwriters. His singles Easy Way Out and This Harbour Town have been top 10 hits in Canada and he has opened for such acts as Level 42 and Jimmy Cliff. He is one of the founders of the celebrated Just Singin' Round singer-songwriter charity event which has raised over $125,000 for local Vancouver goodwill organizations.
Mark Fortin is currently working on a new solo album following his first disc, Two Days in Rexdale.
Part of the 'New Acoustic' school, Michael Friedman brings to the trio a powerful voice, an eclectic guitar approach and a mature, almost piano oriented writing style. Educated in the Berlin Music Conservatory during the G.D.R. era, Michael's perspectives on music are unique among Canadian singer-songwriters. He tours in Europe extensively and has three albums under his belt. Sam Masich wrote the lion's share of lyrics on Friedman's last two discs, Diamond Space and Angst Ridden Writer.
Sam Masich, who is also well known for his solo work and collaborations with jazz vocalist Christine Duncan, has some 100 of the nearly 400 songs in his catalogue published on 13 discs. An eclectic artist, Masich is also renowned for his work in martial arts, theatre, film and television.
